My fishing buddy and I are coming over the first weekend in April to try out your lake. We have never been there before. Will be at Island Cove. We are looking for some pointers as to where to fish (I know...in the lake...LOL). What can we expect at that time? Is there usually any grass showing? Spawn? Schooling minnows? Any information would be greatly appreciated. We fish mainly on KY Lake, north and south of Paris Landing, and the Big Sandy arm, south of Paris Landing. Thanks for any info you can share.

Fish should be starting to spawn so you'll be good anywhere shallow on flats or around stumps. There won't be any grass yet at all.

In front of the Marina you will find a group of islands. Acres and acres of shallow flats. You could spend your entire trip around that area and not use 5 gallons of gas while having a great time.

Just a hint. Most big tourneys are out of Dallas bay where hundreds of keepers are turned loose every few
days
