I am un-clear on what the law states on using 2, 3, or 4 jigs on a single line (pole) for gamefish. If it pertains to baitfish like skipjacks, I need to know this also.

I have been told that using 3 crappie jigs targeting crappie is in violation, but cant seem to find that information in the regs. I did this once while "attempting" to troll for them, but never caught the first fish.

Doens anyone know for sure on this subject? Thanks!

It is under the umbrella rig restrictions on page 10 of the 2008 fishing guide. If the hook size is 6 or larger then only one hook may be used.

Thanks Steve!

I had seen that part, but I am not sure what size hook is on a 1/32 oz or similar jig-head. I better not use multipes untill I find out for sure.

I just did a search of the pdf version of the 2008 regs, and there is not a list or straight forward definition of a game fish or non-game fish, but you can get a hint as to wether a fish is game or non-game based on exceptions on the methods in fishing.
