Don't get me wrong... a few ounces shy of 30 lbs. is an AWESOME catch!!

But, is anyone surprised that no one broke the 30 lb. mark in March? Last year Drake/Vetton won March with almost 42 lbs. (Of course, second place was 28.2).

Even though I don't bass fish, I suppose I've just come to expect 30+ weights on any late winter/Spring event. Who'd a thunk it. emoBigsmile

Its a little surprising but think about the weather and lake level the last few weeks.
Plus the rediculous water flow has most of my prespawn spots unfishable and I'm sure I'm not alone.
That said we had 3 pull off at the boat that if any one of them would have stayed in would have put us over 30

Good point(s). Sorry about the pull-offs. :(

Well makes me wonder if kevin is even fishing it this year. Prespawn spots are weird this year. It is so hit or miss. Monday I had 14 fish over 3lbs. 3 were over 5lbs and 2 were right under. Went to the same areas and places today and nada! Not even a sniff!
