Blasted out of Grasshopper around 9:30am. Went about 100 yards then slowed down to a troll because I couldn't breathe. Decided it was to cold to run far so I hit the Sale Creek ditch in the main river channel. Started off throwing a rattle trap and lost a good fish. Nothing for about 20 minutes so I switched to a fat albert grub and began to jig. Immediately landed 2 keepers within the first 5 minutes and then partener tied on same grub. After those fish were released my partner and I decided to have a mock tournament. For the next 3 hours we kept our keepers and ended up culling two, 2 pounders. Weighed 5 biggest with digital scales and had 12.9 pounds. All fish caught by jigging or slow rolling a grub in 12-15 feet of water. Water temp 41-42 degrees. Windchill was about 9 degrees. Over all not too bad of a day, would have been alot better if we had a decent kicker fish to go with them. All fish were about the same size. Did catch 8 short fish that just missed the board by 1/4 inch. Also caught three stripe. Over all, had 9 keepers, 8 short fish, and 3 stripe. I have some pics but don't know how to post them. I will keep trying.

Not so much dedicated just crazy! Oh not to mention I worked all night. Got off work at 7:00am and then got ready to hit the H20.

Nice bunch of fish MD. I wish that I could handle the cold that well. Were they on flats or in channels? Did you try any other baits? Did they seem very aggressive?
