Agreed! I guess to some thats a good hit but yea, I think it should have been steeper than that.</p>

I hope they lose thier property. Only serves them right... Surprised they don't take their driving license too! It sure justifies a much more stiff penalty. Isn't it a steeper fine to shoot a deer on private land w/o permission? Or on federal property? Just seems like it is not enough of a deterent. But I'm sure those boys are hurting from this and much deserved.
 
The whole things digusts me. No wonder they do this...for every fish they caught them with that day, they probably got away with 10 times that many before getting caught. </p>

They will go right back to doing it because the penalty is so pitiful. Money talks, and bull-hockey walks out of jail, and right back to the river....

How do you catch 9 Paddlefish? Don't they just eat plankton?
They use gillnets. I have watched netters throw back dead paddlefish one time while I was fishing up at the nuke back in Dec. Those nets don't discriminate on what they catch and kill.
