You would think someone would come up with a simple " app " for smart phones / i phones, so a buyer / seller could
do a background check anytime when they do a private sell .

Each puts in his D.L. number , throw in the serial # of the firearm and hit enter .

It would take that gun OUT of sellers name and put it in the buyers name , just like selling a car or boat etc .

At the same time it would check the firearms stolen data base . Everyone is covered , gun checked , and somebody
ends up making $ 10 - ? ? bucks a check .

Seems like a fast , simple , money making idea ! Why didn't I take more computer classes LoL .

I watched a little bit of the news this a.m. talking about the rep. giving in to the dems on background checks . I don't have an issue doing
a back ground check at the gun shows , not sure I like having to meet someone at a gunshop to do a private sale but do see both sides
to that part ( hence the idea for the app ). I would be afraid some local shops would be like the local atv / motorcycle dealers . Take one
in for service or a problem and the first question you get asked was if you bought it there or not . Seems they give faster / better service to
people that actually bought it at their dealership . I wonder if the gun shops would be the same ? A lot of time for them to fool with the paperwork
and keeping an employee tied up running bg checks for joe smith off the street ?

I don't think I should have to submit my father ( whom by the way I've known all my life LoL ) to a bg check to give / sell him a shotgun ? ? emoBang

I still say it all comes down to the simple fact that no matter what they pass or do , it will only effect the law abiding citizens . Criminals never
follow the rules or obey the laws , that is why they are "criminals" right ? emoScratch

In my opinion. It's just a first step to ban & confiscation. I don't have a problem with a back ground check either. BUT WAIT, don't we already have LAWS in place for that? If anyone thinks the current GOVT, will stop with back ground checks, they need to get their head out of the sand. Again...just my opinion.

guess i will have to become unlawfully just to keep pace with the criminals. emoEnforce either way it goes i will not give up, or give in, to the idiot goverments way of thinking. and protecting myself my family and property. emoGeezer emoProtest

First of all the gun isn't "in your name". That would be registration, which is illegal in the US. Second, registration leads to confiscation. History has proven this time and time again.
