GUYS AND GALS!

It takes a 42 inch blue to qualify I believe! You can send two qualifying fish per year, plus one upgrade. Now I know at least five others of you, like WLG, DRC, Foodsaver, fishing machine, spur, etc, have caught a number of blues this past year at least 42 inches. I like to send mine in to see if the pic will make the magazine.

I can almost bet that Eric's will be in the May issue, as they mentioned his personally in their little write up. It was 84 lbs after all at 55 inches. If we all sent ours in, the Tennessee and Alabama guys, they would make a big deal about it. (If you're a boy or any woman, I can almost guarantee your photo will make the magazine in the May issue next year!)

I believe I have seen several qualifying smallmouth as well these past few weeks, it's just nobody sends them in. Polo caught a qualifying crappie this past year I think. Check out the qualifications sometime. A channel cat is 30 inches, which is very realistic, that's about a 10-12 lb channel.

I think if we made the HOF fish recipients aware of the qualifications, we could pull some special attention to our area which is loaded with tons of qualifying smallmouth, some largemouth, and blues. They'll send you a patch in the mail and I like to put it in a scrapbook to remember it.

I've seen like five master angler blues pasted in the past week, we just need to send them in if you get time!

Here ya go Polo!

By the way, you're allowed one kept fish (must be a certified weight) and two released fish (photo and length measurement only required), with no upgrades and they must be submitted within 30 days of the catch.

Oh, for those of you that don't know that I can occasionally catch OTHER species, I managed to list both a master angler striper and rainbow trout this year too!emoBigsmile emoBigsmile

Minner,

I went back and read the post. I drove to wal-mart at midnight and picked up the issue.

WOW!

Thanks a lot Minner for alerting me to it.
