Congrats to all the high school Best of Preps Nominees tonight! I'm a proud papa of one of the soccer gals nominated

but the big congrats goes to our own Fat Albert! He received the Sandy Sandlin Award for Unselfish Sportsman for all his years of service umpiring around the region.

Well done Al, I have seen you call quite a few games over the years and the community appreciates your work.... even though we don't always agree with your eye sight.

I always enjoy the games better when you are behind the plate because I am confident the game will be called with integrity! </p>

Proud to call you a friend and you are a good crappie rod maker as well. The rod you made for me is my favorite. Congrats on the well deserved recognition!

Yes...congrats ! A pic of Al's award - well deserved. I shared it on FB a couple of days ago. My favorite fishin' rod is my custom rod he built a few years ago. Dickey Porter told me it would only catch one fish. I've caught a couple on it. emoPoke
