I voted for the 20-3, with that being said I went back and ive been on the site for about 5 months with a total of 13 post a couple of trips I didnt post becouse I got skunked and another couple of them I was with someone elce and they started the post,,, This would eliminate me from this section "wich is ok becouse ill get back in soon and im more interested in the health of the Forum than anything elce", there is something to be said about the availability for some people to be able get to the water, as was mentioned before Gas prices the way they are now and before they went up "270-to 335" keep some people off the water as you know I live in Calhoun Ga and a trip up there takes me about a Hr to get to the river and is a all day comitment,,, I have been Blessed with the resorces to be able to do this,, becouse by the time I get gas, in my gas hog truck and put gas in the boat, bait, my trips cost about 100.00 at trip, I figured this out a couple of months ago and then looked at my trip numbers, if only the 13 trips ive made count .. well you do ther math..not complaining but the point is not all can do that and others dont have the time with work and family and family church and everything elce...while others can go into there back yard or just down the street and make a couiple of Hr trip when they get the time... its a tough call how you go about judging this...
There are two things that I love about this site, one is the was everyone seemed to be friends and the laughing and shareing and even the praying.. you guys sisncerly seemed to care about one anouther and that very much atracted me to the site in the first place.. as was evedernt a couple of weeks ago when Dad passed and all the PM and thoughts and prayers where sent out...
The second is that on any given day if I could not make it to the water , I could get on the site an go fishing with you guys every time you caught a fish after reading the post I got to share some of that with you... and for me that is what the fishing report section is all about, not trying to spy on anyone or steel something from them,, of corce I do learn things along the way and am very thankfull for all you guys help,, It shortoned my learning curve by years up here,,, I think Spur said it a little while back... Today I got to watch Spur and his son Hunter catch a great cat at the nuke ,,,Watch him and his daughter take a great bird ,,, Went with Wade"WLG" and landed a huge cat and made to paper ,,, Caught some great smallmouth down on the Nick... Bilt a few custom fishing rods,,, etc, etc ,,etc.. and that why I brought the idea of thrying to keep the fishing reports coming in one way or the other ,,, Becouse it kills me when I here of people that I look up to, claiming that they were not going to post anymore becouse of the fishing pressure on the water "which is a valad point " just hate to think that I wont be able to share that great fishing trip catching crappie , spots , big cats,,,With you guys anymore,,, Im selfish when you stop posting I loose out...not that im trying to take anything from you guys , It does me good to know there are guys out there that can catch fish as well as you guys do and that gives me something to shoot for ,,, emoGrouphug You guys are my hero's and I look up to you for what you do and share... I know im hurting for hero's...emoScratch
One thing about the standard we are setting up and voting on it 20-3, the 20 is not a unreasonable number, but my opinion the 3 post in three months is really low, thats one post a month at that rate it takes little more than a year and a half to get to 20 post,, Is one trip a month what we are trying to achive by creating this area??This is just a observation I made that I thought was a little contradictory from what was the point ,,Are we trying to get long tern members or active members???in this area.. Just a question...
And one last parting word,, after reading some of the post lately, I realized that the written word can be taken a lot of different ways, I for one dont go back and double check all my post, but I can promis that with the exception of a coment in a reply about a post of mine getting deleted a have never intentionaly posted anything that I thought would offend anyone, so if something ever came out wrong let me assure you it was unintentional..and a do apoligize to you..Just for the record..
