Im loving this extra hour of daylight and getting off at 3pm now. Decided to hit the water right after work today. Got the boat put in at Harrison Bay about 4pm. My girlfriend got off work at 5 so i decided to fish close by until she got there. Fished some rock walls and docks with soft plastics, jig, & rattletrap. Caught a couple of small keepers and a few short fish. Picked her up when she got there & headed back out. Went to a marina i had caught some fish in last spring. Started throwing a jig while she was throwing soft plastic. Caught a small lm and then a few casts later hooked up with a really fat 4.16lb lm. Got a few pics and let her go. Then about 10 casts later caught a 2.31lb lm on the jig. Fished that marina until a little after dark catching another small lm and my girlfriend catching a lm about a pound & half. Shes never bass fished with artifical baits before, but shes learning and not giving up! We cant wait to get back on the water! Water temps were 60°- 63°. Caught fish in 2-15 fow.
And by the way, if youre thinking about adding lights to your boat the Blue Water Leds are expensive, but worth every penny! This was the first chance ive had to really try them out and i love them. I currently have them in all compartments, live wells, decks, floor, & navigation lights. Will be adding two 10' strips down the sides to light up around the boat at night.
