We decided that we were going to sleep in a little today, so we got on the water about 9:30. Fished rock banks all day just trying to let my daughter catch a bunch of spotted bass. Unfortunately about 2 weeks ago she fell off the trampoline at her mothers house and broke her right arm & left thumb. Both arms are in casts, but she didnt let that slow her down while fishing. Together we caught about 30 bass and 3 catfish. No real big bass, but today was about getting her out of the house and having some fun. And you can see by the video that we both had a blast. She would rather catch a bunch of small bass anyday over catching 1 big one. Caught most our fish on ned rig and a few on spybait in 3-12 fow. Water temp was about 62° with just a little current moving.

Heres the video. Its only the 3rd video ive made and edited with my new gopro & editing app, but turned out pretty good to me. I had the camera at the back of the boat to begin with, but she told me it was in her way of catching fish & i needed to move it. Lol.

Its basically a very light jig head with a 2.5"-3" senko style worm. Usually thrown on 6-8lb line and medium or medium-light spinning rod. May not catch many big bass with it, but it catches a lot of fish. My kids love fishing it bc they can catch a lot.

This video explains it better than i can. https://youtu.be/TGgq8f_s57c

Thanks for sharing. I did not know what a ned rig was either. Never too old to learn new tricks. emoThumbsup May have to try that. Good post. emoThanks Jmax

It was something i picked up about a year ago. I first tried it hoping it would be good for my kids to catch a lot of bass with & it works great for that. Dont really catch many big bass, but if things are tough ive had it put my 3rd keeper in the boat several times this year. Best ive caught on it is 3 bass a little over 4lbs each, but they are really fun a medium rod & 8lb floro

Lol. Sorry guys, i made the ned rig up. Trust me, if i caught many big fish on it i wouldnt talk about it. If you get on youtube or google you will find theres a huge amount of techniques and modifications to lures that work really well. The ned rig is just one i picked up last year & has caught a lot of fish for me & my kids. Ive modified it myself as well with some good results.
