Guys, one more question:

What info (locations, quality) do you have on boat launches on the Coosa River in Rome? I'm wondering if there were two spaced 4 to 5 miles apart that would be good enough to allow the launch of canoes for a day float in that area. Would the fishing be worth it? Would we encounter too much boat traffic for it to be practical? I need to know of two launch areas so that we would be able to run a shuttle.

Thanks,

Hwy 100 boat ramp and Brushy Branch should be about that far apart and the fishing there should be much better than average. Lots of stripers and blue cats as well as some good spots and LM. Boat traffic should be minimal that far away from the main lake at Weiss.

Thanks. I'll mark them on my map, just in case. The river looked low through Rome today, and I thought that might just keep the big boats away.
