After the trip Polo and I had I decided to go again today since I had nothing else going on. Got there about 8, misting rain, 35 degrees and just a little breeze. Had one on the second cast and forgot about how cold it was. I fished along the main creek in about 13 to 20 feet and it seemed they were all deep today. I was using my usual rd/chatruse and black chartruse combo jigs and again as yesterday they hit them both. I also caught two very nice sized spots on the crappie jigs and yes MB, they came home with me as well.emoTongue The main difference today was the bite was even more slite and hard to detect. Also they ran a little bigger today. It was about 1 for 1, one keeper to every non-keeper. Came home with 10 very good size crappie and the two spots. There were some guys fishing off the banks and they said they did not have anything. I went up the wolf to try some of my shallow bites and did not get one in the boat. Had a couple bumps but they may have been bream. I left at 12:30 so not bad no longer than I was there.emoThumbsup Jmax

I'm glad that they are still working for you Jmax. I was tempted to go today but the cold and wet made me drag my feet.

Biofisher I - 1/18/2007 4:06 PM Jmax, you are a hardy soul. You continue to bring home the fish though. Great job on a day like today.

It is still pretty stained back in the creek but from under the bridge out into the lake it is starting to look a little more clear. Those crappie and bass were full of shad. I thought the bass had eggs in them but it was just shad. I talked to Bbass and 2jigs and they are going prefishing this weekend to get ready for the first CFF on 2/3 so we had better watch out.;) It is hard for me to pull off the crappie long enough to pre-fish for bass when they are biting like they are right now. Me and CCSM are going to have to go do a little pre-fishing as well.emoPoke Jmax
