i am going to put on a coyote hunting tournament and would like to know who would like to do this if you would just let me know know and we will get this started and i will let you know what the rules are my number is 423-716-3041

Does it have to be shot or is it by any means necessary?
]My Indian buddy (wagon burner, not convenience store) Chris says blind women and little children can snare a yote.

We will tag-team your event as team Wagon Burner.
Lay out the rules and sign us up...

ok look i am at work i am trying to get them to yall as fast as i can if there is something so bad that you need to know then just call me entry fee is going to be $20 per person there will be 1 and 2 place if we have a lot of people it is like a bass tournament and be one day we may go for 2 day we will start a at day light and stop at dark i hope that is some details for you MJWENDORF

No reason to get worked up Piglet, if you had just offered up all the information in the first post people wouldn't be asking so many questions.

I think its a great idea, but you need to consider the guys on here may be spread out of many miles( my property is 100 miles outside of Chattanooga). So the logistics of running up there, hunting, and getting to the weigh in within the time constraints may be tough. But I think offering a monitary rewad for killing yotes is a great idea. If this idea would take off statewide, you could actually put a measurable dent in the population of these terrible critters. I would love to put them on the endangered species list. Lol

churly i cant stand coyotes i hope to get this off the grand and running. that is why i am thinking about running it for a weekend or even a 2 day event. i think it will be a lot of fun

spurhunt i am not getting worked up i just need yall to work with me i am trying to get everything together to get this started

I would say that's what everyone was looking for. Just a basic layout of what you were talking about doing. Your first post was about as vague as you could get.

Alright, so you're going to have a tournament, but nobody knows when, or where, how much or for how long.
I'm with spur. My places to hunt are in N.Ala, 45 miles away or Monteagle 50 miles away.
I'm not into a lot of windshield time to race and get to some place else to weigh it in.

How about a suggestion?

Contest runs 1 week. Saturday to Saturday.

Gentlemen's rules: Photo:
Weight:
Type of weapon. or "other means taken"
County

Entry fee $25
Winnings go to charity (TBA) or to DU or QU
This may help prevent the types who would consider cheating so they could win a couple hundred bucks, from doing so.
Again Gentlemen's rules. if you're not familiar with the concept then you don't qualify for entry.

i like catjuggins idea but their should b a prize for first place if you are not going to win something people want enter how about a plaque or trophy something along that line just my thoughts

catjuggin: That is a great idea. I never thought of something like that. A charity would be a great idea I can do some research to find out what would be the best interest of the guys that enter, and also what would be the best charity to give to. I would allow weapon of choice, but no traps. You could hunt over bait. I need to see the kill with my own eyes to keep people from cheating.

procraft: Yes, we will do a plaque or trophy of some sort.
