Im looking for some good places to coyote hunt around Bradley, county and the surrounding counties. A buddy and myself are just getting into it and are going several times a week but need some more places to hunt. Also looking for some tips from some people that's been doing this a while. Thanks in advance for any info.

Find a good location where wild game is abundant. build a blind in advance and hide... then Wait and Wait.. Distress calls are good if Yotes are in the area. I hunted an area off Hwy 60 where I had a big pack that raided the chicken coops nightly. I had a baited area along a well used area at the woods line. 300 yards back and across a brushy small draw, I had set up in an old shed. Prefect setup.. I never got the first shot off.....

I have been doing it for some time the best way to find places to hunt is talk to people that own livestock and or have deer leases I hut around 700 acres best places to hunt are fields or pastures near chicken houses with some thick under brush or small patches of woods then hide well the coyote want see you as fast as the bobcats will remember keep the wind in your favor they can all smell very well I have 3 calls and one is just about as good as the other I have not had a lot of luck with the hand held but it works all so make sure you hide very well you will call in some crows and they will see you and be gone asap good luck have fun

A good electronic call and spinning decoy are worth their weight in gold. You can use distress calls that will bring in coyote fox and bobcat. Sometimes coyotes are in places you would never expect (neighborhoods). Call anywhere someone will give you permission.

That is the biggest Yote I have ever seen. Did you weigh that Wolf Killer?</p>

I watched Steven Rinella cooked one over a fire on the "meat eater" hunting show. He said it tasted like liver.

Liver is one of two things I wont eat.

I didn't weigh it but it was the smaller of the two we called in that morning. The bigger one hung up at 275 yards and I didn't have a clear shot.

@ 275 is where the varmint range starts getting good. That was a huge yote.. Thanks for the response..

Yotes are unwelcome Varmints that easily over populate and can create havoc to domestic pets and livestock..
This is one thing you are not required to eat to remain ethical.

I know a professional hunter who lives in Arizona. He guides for mountain lion, coyotes and other game. He told me you'd better be a very good shot at long long distances if you hope to have consistent success killing the things. He said they are so crafty, it is almost impossible to get a close up shot on one. Then, on the other hand, he said it is common to happen upon one right in your own neighborhood - go figure.

He said they hate dogs and kill them just for fun. He also said house cats are their favorite food. Lastly, he said they are real killing machines. They kill just for the fun of it, not just to eat.
