<font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">emoFish CRACKERFEST WILL GO ON AS SCHEDULED: MAY 2ND</font>(<font face="arial black,avant garde"><font color="#ff0000">PLEASEREAD ENTIRE POST</font>)</font></font></p>

<font face="Times New Roman" size="3">After reading through the post, I have decided to go ahead and do it this weekend although the majority of the expert Crackers suggests postponing it. There were enough people which have set their schedule due to this event so the date will remain for the 2nd. I am not certain the 23rd would be much better for the Crackers anyways. I do think by the 23rd it would be much easier to keep the young ones attention span even with Blue gill but hopefully the warmer weather this week will still allow the youth to have a great day. The 9th was my preference due to the full moon but the CBA has that date so I gambled and will live with the results. The main thing is to make sure your children have fun.</font></p>

<font face="Times New Roman" size="3"></font></p>

<font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Following are the rules for this event this year:</font></p>

<font face="Times New Roman" size="3"></font></p>
  1. <font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Due to the economy : Each participant which fishes (if financially able) should bring one fishing / outdoors gift to be given away to the youth.( I.E. Snoopy rod and reel, tackle box or what ever else you think would bring a smile to a Childs face.) I am not going to set a dollar limit concerning this gift for some can do more than others and some may not be able to give and that is OK. Please come and fish anyway. The smiles you see at the end of the day are priceless and no one knows or remembers who gave what however the smiles are priceless!</font>
  2. <font face="Times New Roman" size="3">The entry fee will be $5 per participant and max $15 a boat or family. (Remember you don’t have to fish by boat, the main objective is to have a fun day out with the youth). 100% payback and will be split up and pay as many places as possible.</font>
  3. <font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">You can early register by getting with me (on the 58 side) or Kathy (TNDOE270) on the Soddy side. We will start registering on the 2nd at CFP at about 6am and you can take off after registering. Registering will stop at 7am. You can fish from any area of the lake that you would like from Nickajack to Chickamauga and you can start at your own time (if you prepay). We do this since we know many youth don’t have the attention span to endure a full day of fishing. Remember this is a day out with the kids and we want it to be their day. Should you start out at Chester Frost Park with us in the morning and their attention span goes South at 11am, the park has a play ground, beach and nice scenic walking areas that they may like as well as fishing piers.</font></font>

<font face="Times New Roman" size="3">THE ONE REQUEST IS: EVERYONE BE BACK AT CFP BY 1PM FOR THE WEIGHIN AND PRIZES. The weigh-ins will be over where the bleachers are for the CBA stand at the boat ramp.</font></p>

<font face="Times New Roman" size="3"></font></p>
  1. <font face="Times New Roman" size="3">We will weigh the 10 biggest fish per participant but please don’t keep and kill small fish. We will be cleaning these fish for the picnic and have a fish fry latter in the year. However use common since when keeping these fish and only keep those which are fillet able. By all means all types of Bluegills, Shell crackers (redears), sunfish are acceptable but use common since. </font>
  2. <font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Should bad weather force a cancellation of this event we will move it to the 23rd.</font>

<font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Check the CFF the morning of the 2nd for any cancellation. It will be posted by 6am or call 423-316-6098.</font></p>

<font face="Times New Roman" size="3">LOOK FORWARD TO ANOTHER YOUTH “3RD ANNUAL CRACKERFEST”</font></p>

<font face="Times New Roman" size="3">NOTE: T-SHIRT orders are being taken now in the Crackerfest T-SHIRT post. You must have your order placed by Thursday early, early AM or you will not be able to buy a shirt. Justin (CHURLY) WILL BE PLACING THE FINAL ORDER ON Thursday morning. Please bring cash to weigh-ins to purchase your ordered shirts. There will be no extras ordered so place order now.</font></p>

<font face="Times New Roman" size="3"></font></p>

<font face="Times New Roman" size="3">THANKS AND SEE YOU SATURDAY,</font></p>

Hey guys, i got out on the kayak yesterday evening for a while. in several places i saw some shell crackers on the bed. They looked to be just starting to fan as most ofthe holes were not very big. I did see one school of about 20 in one spot. I sat and watched them for a few minutes jsut to make sure. I think there will be enough fish around to keep the little guys interested.

where was that fishheadspin???? Come on be a sport and share and share alike. JSV and I are going out in a bit to look for some. See you saturday a.m.

Question about the 10 fish limit...... Is it 10 per person or 10 per boat/group?. Will families be competing as a team, or against each other?

Sounds like fun if we didnt have baseball we would be there.. my son has been wanting to fish some tournaments...

Good luck to all that fish

</p><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: #43647e; font-family: Verdana">How ever you want to do it. You can do it as a boat or even have a competition in the boat per individual. However the kids would like to do it. I don't care as long as the kids have fun. I have weighed fish per child or had they put theirs together. This is a laid back TX with very little $$$$ incentive. I guess to answer your question, you can join efforts at the end of the day and weigh your boats best 10 or each Childs fish. All I ask is to bring nice fillet able fish to the scales. I believe around 8 inches at a minimal being the smallest.

</p></span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: #43647e; font-family: Verdana">After going out searching for Crackers tonight, I believe it might be best to do it by boat and preferable maybe by a joining a couple of boats. We found BASS and lots of them back in Coleman County...Soddy.... but the good Crackers are few and between. I believe I have a better chance at the CBA next week (with a good draw numberemoCool )compared to Crackerfest this week.
