CRACKERFEST 2009 RESULTS

We had a pretty good turnout considering it was a re-scheduled event and on Memorial Day weekend. 



We had about 15 kids participate and from the looks on their faces they had a good time.

I would like to thank the Businesses and people which help make this event a success:Soddy Bait and Tackle, Blaylocks Bait and Tackle, Fish-N- Fun and to Foodsaver (Craig) for doing a fun raiser which allowed us to buy about 10 items to be given away as well as Richard Simms and Scenic City Charters (rsimms). A big Thanks goes out to Churly (Justin) for once again coming through with some awesome looking shirts. Not only did he take care of the orders, getting them produced but he fronted the money for the shirts until the day of Crackerfest. 

I would also like tothank all the Parent for helping with items and taking time out on a busy weekend to participate and fish with us. We had something for everyone and once again many smiles. 

Lastly before I post the report I would like to thank TNDOEfor helping with this eventagainand helping get the event started in 2006.I would like to Thank Bbass for his help each year and the use ofhis scales as well asbeing the weigh master.Doghouse (Jerry) for his support, donations and taking the time out to help. 

Finally I would like to thank the group which helped clean the fish as well as set me up for a Surprised B-day party. 

TNDOE (Kathy), Mike Forbis, Doghouse (Jerry), my Dad which kept us motivated with endless stories and my Sister Megan and her Husband Chadfor the fish cleaning party with a little cake mixed in. 

We didn't have but around 80 to 100 fish (compared to 5 to 6 hundred in years past) although several were small but we done the best we could. Unfortunately (should we have a picnic)we will need to do an additional event to get enough fish for the picnic.

RESULTS:

2nd The party of JSV (Ashley, Austin, Dad and Mike Forbis)......4.39lb's

3rd The party of Bbass with "Son" Billy....................................4.28lb'S

4th The party of Fluke and his son......................................... 4.08lb's

5th The party of TNDOE with Olivia, Scout and Stephen............. 4.02lb's

6th The party of David and family.......................................... 3.69lb's

7th The party of RATMAN and Kenny.......................................2.28lb's

I hope to add additional pictures to Bbass posts this evening.

Tough this year to pull off a big event with the way the weather has been. Never the less Jason, we all had a blast. I know Olivia did driving that TN Doe Triton..LOL.

Always a great time fishing this event. next year...Bigger and Better. Thanks for Hosting it. You do a fine job!

Me, Logan and Hayden had had a great time. The boys loved walking up on stage to weigh their fish (just like the pro's)
