I was lil bored at work today .. spotted a piece of OAK from a pallet .. thought humm that would make something cool .. took out my trusty sharpie and drew a lure outline on the piece of wood .. then thought humm I'll cut that out on the band saw .. then that led to shaping it on the disk sander emoLaugh.. looked so good I brought it home to finish it emoLaugh

Heres what I ended up with .. its 4" long not including the lip .. and 1 inch thick at the shoulder.. cant wait to see it in the water .. maybe I can get me a PB in the next couple weeks on it emoBigsmile of course after paint and hooks on it.
My luck Id land a 40 lb drum

Good job NRG......

let us know how it runs.....but you better watch out.....every time i start a hobby like that i have to start selling them to pay for my hobby and before long it turns into a small busn. and sometimes a headache

Put hooks on it and went down to the lake after the Thunderstorms, lightning and hail , we had all day finally at about 4pm the sun started to peek out.
Of course it weighs a ton ( about 2oz ) casts a mile .. has good action , and it suspends I cast it out from sure in about 12 feet water .. easily dredged the bottom, I'll have to get out in the boat to see what it really will do as far as depth. But for just messing around ended up being a success!
Now if it catches bigger bass only time will tell
