Hey guys , I was wondering if you can use 2 batteries parallel for my cranking and acces. or will it damage my charging system on my VMAX 150 carb ?

You can do it but make sure you use big cables, at least the same size going from your cranking battery to your motor. Good thing is you'll be charging your trolling motor batter when the motor is running, bad thing is you risk running both batteries down too low to crank the motor over. You can also add a relay or solenoid so you don't run your cranking battery down while using the trolling motor but it's really more trouble than it's worth in my opinion.

I have put two batts on my cranking/accessories system because of my bait tank in addition to night fishing. Works very well and I always have plenty of power for everything. As it was, I was dragging down the single battery and it would crank rather slowly at the end of a long day/night. The trolling motor batts are seperate and get recharged after every trip.

It will not affect the charging system at all. One thing to keep in mind though. If you do it make sure both batteries are the same age. If not the older weaker battery will draw the newer stronger battery down. Do it with either 2 older batteries or 2 new batteries.
