Anyone got any advice where I can get a decent cranking battery cheap? My interstate is completely dead, and I do not want to invest too much as I am considering a new Stratos or Triton over the winter.

Wal-Mart. Maxx X yellow top 29. Best $$$ I've spent on my boat. Aside from having Paul Nicholes work on the motor. Thanks again Liveliner. I Owe you a big one.

. Batterys are one thin I'll never skimp on again, just too cheap for the trouble a cheap one brings.

Glad you got it 2jigs. Dropshot get a walmart Max-X...When you get your new boat take this battery with you. The free replacement warranty on these batteries is longer than the expected life on most other batteries. The best part is that they are only $6?.??. It is a very smart buy A dual purpose battery will start your engine repetedly and run all your accessories with hours of power to spare.

I have three of them in my Proline. All exactly alike....No worries. I trust them Offshore.

I picked up an Interstate blem at their place on Wilcox. Don't recall the exact price, but reckon if it had been too much I wouldn't own it now. Might check there, west of 153.

Walmart Maxx....bought one in February and so far so good.....when the trolling motor batteries quit there will be 2 new Maxx's there also!!! Great warranty!

I agree. I meant to say about Wally-Worlds warranty..It is a no questions asked at any store at any time 24/7 warranty. You do not have to wait until business hours of the other place and argue with the jerk who is trying to blame the bad battery on you. Keep that little round date sticker on it and if you need one at 4:30 AM for your fishing trip, just run by any store and pick one up. The other good thing and very important thing is, They are excellent built batteries and most likely you are not going to need to replace it for a long time. No I do not have stock in Wal-Mart.

I agree, best deal on batteries. I have four of them in my boat. I have not had much luck with Interstates. I had two of them for trolling and both of them were dead within a year. The maxx batts lasted me a few years.
