Crappie 12/11/06

I went out Monday morning solo to try and catch some more crappie for the freezer. Went to my first 2 spots which are usually reliable and only caught one crappie. Went to my next spot and caucht 24 keepers off of it. Went to my next spot and had my limit by 9:45. Caught the 24 in 10-20 ft next to the channel on 1/16 oz red/yellow/yellow jig. Caught the rest off a dock on the shaded side in 8-15 ft on red/yellow/yellow 1/16 oz jig. Today most of the fish that i caught where 11" plus. Amazing what a few days makes.

Good looking bunch of fish. Were you using hair or plastic?

rsimms atleast my shirt is not orange. Biofisher, I was using jiffy jigs with the jelly belly and hair tail. For some reason those type of jigs work well for me this time of year. I will also use the seceret weapon jig that i get from baysprings motel down at lake weiss.
