crappie at wolftever 3/27/2007

got on the water at sunup and fished the banks and coves. Caught 11 keepers. Threw back to many to count. They were hitting white, white/blue, orange/yellow grubs. What a blast. Cant wait for them to raise the water. I called TVA and talk to a lady in Knoxville that said they will raise the lake halfway starting April 1 and will raise it the other starting May 1.

Welcome 2 the board crowkirk! Glad to hear you caught some fish.

I really hate the way they are raising the water this year, freakin crazy. Why not bring it up now before the spawn??? Maybe there's something I don't know.

NOT TRYING TO BE ARGUMENTATIVE LB .....BUT WHERE ARE THEY GONNA GET THE WATER ??......RAIN AT FT. LOUDON DAM FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY AND MARCH WAS A TOTAL OF 3 INCHES.... I CAN ASSURE YOU THERE WAS NO MORE AT DOUGLAS, NORRIS CHEROKEE, MELTON HILL....PROBABLY NOT MUCH MORE AT FONTANA......WHAT LITTLE RAIN THERE WAS....WAS SUCKED INTO THE DRY EARTH.

Welcome to CFF there Crowkirk. Way to get started with that nice report. I have noticed thet Chick is about a foot higher than it was three weeks ago. It is coming up already filling in some of the back bays.
