has anyone been catching any crappie from the banks, i know people are all the time at the hwy 58 bridge but are they any other areas accesable any help. emoThanks emoThanks

I don't go after crappie (yet!), but I have caught a few in a couple of places while fishing for bass off the banks. Here are a couple of MY favorites:

The pic shows the rocky bank in Wolftever Creek down the way (away from the 58 bridge) from the pier. The creek channel runs up against the rocks, and there can be fish there. You can work that bank from where the rocks start to the lay-down tree in the distance (careful, it can be treacherous).

There is also an area in Chester Frost where the channel comes near the bank. If you look at a map, looking into the entrance to CFP from the river, it's the point on the left-hand side as you turn the corner heading to the boat ramp. Work the north side of that point around to where it shallows up.

Hope these areas put you on some fish! Good luck!
