Crappie & Bass-Chic. 1/30/07

My brother myself and our friend decided to try for some crappie today.  We launched at Bluewater Campground (Richland Creek-Dayton) around 11am.  The wind was blowing us upriver so we went upriver to the Meigs Co. side and fished a good creekmouth (Mitchells).  Fished for a couple of hours and caught 1 slab.  Also 4 Largemouths between 13- 16 inches and all very healthy and chunky.  Caught everything on minnows fished below a floater between 4-6 foot deep.   Ran farther up river and caught some scattered crappie near another creek mouth.  The wind picked up even more so we went to the RHEA CO. SIDE where the wind was a lot less to deal with until nearly dark..  Brought home 11 crappie, 3 bluegill. and 1 stripe that weighed around 6 lbs.
