crappie,bluegills and 1cat. chick. lake 11-18

Caught 21 crappies today but only 7 were keepers. got 18 big bluegill and 1 bluecat that weighed 14 lbs. One spot and one smallmouth also. Shiners and tuffies were the ticket today. The bluegills were hitting the tuffies and the other fish were caught with med and large shiners. The water depth varied between 5 and 30 ft. Most were got using slip floats and red hooks. The cat was caught with 6lb test and put up a good fight with the light action crappie rod.

Nice fish. I always love getting a big cat when you least expect one. I use to catch channel cats bluegill fishing with crickets and man a 3-4 lb channel on 4lb line is a blast.
