Put in at Soddy Creek for a few hours with KyBassCat in search of Crappie. Never found numbers, but we picked a single up here and there. We ended up with enough for a meal. Caught a few short bass, as well. All crappie were keepers, the biggest coming in around 16 inches, which just happened to be full of eggs.

Went out 12/24 with JitterBug below Nickajack Dam, and that's all I'm going to say to save myself some embarassment. I did end up with a couple nice pics of some bald eagles.

We saw two bald eagles flying around the Nuke area on Sunday. We were traveling up river and the picture was a blur. It was nice to see them up there.

Was there any current below Nick. when you were there? Man the bite just totally shuts down when their not generating.

They are finally getting the generation schedule back in line with mine.

They were only running one turbine, judging by the boils, so there was a little current. We hit most the good spots from the boils down to just below the Sequatchie. We were short on time, so we didn't fish all the good spots, but made a couple passes over each, looking for fish. I wasn't marking any fish on my electronics. We fished rip-rap and flooded timber since we weren't marking any open-water fish.

There were five other boats there, off and on, and no one was catching. It was like all the fish were visiting family elsewhere for Christmas.

Wow, a 16 inch cappie. If she was full of eggs she should have been between 2-3/4- 3lbs!!! Good catch!!emoThumbsup

I saw those eagles this past summer roosting in a huge pine tree up Big Soddy creek near where I live. But when I told a TWRA guy about them he basically told me I was nuts (?). Nice to know I wasn't hallucinating after all.
