Mike Johnston won it with over 13#. We had 14 boats that qualified(i think). I think wtk and Tina were second with 12 something, Dave east and jim minor may have had 12 something for third. I really can't remember the rest. They should have the results posted soon. Unlike the majority, I struggled and was stubborn trying to force a pattern that wasn't working. Stuck with it too long, fish for us were In lay downs and brush piles. Several docks too. We finished in 9th with 9.50(I Think).

Thanks for the update Seth, I tried it after the storms on Thursday. I found some on brush in 12-15 fow in the mouths of bays it was so windy you couldn't get the presentation right or detect the bite. I also found some under a dock but only managed one short fish. I tired of fighting the wind and just put her back on the trailer.

I could have done a lot better if I hadn't been so stubborn trying to force the bite that wasn't there. In the previous weeks with the warm weather and water down, I had been catching some monster females. It cost me yesterday. The good news is, they will be moving up soon and I will be able to get them on my float again

I don't know a lot but I'm trying to glean what I can from the ppl that will take me or go out with me. I have been out with DK a couple times and he has refreshed my memory a great deal. I had been out of fishing for 25 years or more.

All the people in the club are great, I've fished with just about everyone I'd be happy to take you one day, are you good at dock shooting? Would you like to go when it's a good float bite?

Rod, what's to teach? You already know how to crappie fish. You should fish with us anyway. I'll take you on the weekend when we are both free. I'll try to help with whatever you need help with.

I'm no "dead eye' but I can hit the mark dock shooting, and I love float fishing takes the guess work out of the bite>>> emoSmile
