Crappie condos advice

Hello everyone im looking for any advice on making crappie condos and really any tips on what/where to sink them. Really thinking about depth and place building materials etc. Anything helps thanks for the input!

there are lots of ways to make them. I've seen people make them with pvc, concrete, brush, landscaping timbers, natural rubber hosing
