This is a blatant commercial... if you don't like them, just move along. Nothing to see here.

That said, my pre-spawn crappie bite has kicked in hard. On a Wednesday scouting trip I caught one of the quickest limits I've ever caught. 15 keepers in 35 minutes... I had a total of 23 (culled to 15) in just over an hour. I have video proof: https://youtu.be/X7gHD1g6Bf4

Here's the rub... the majority of my March fishing dates are booked... except for next week (March 7-11). If you want to get in on some Chickamauga Lake crappie action, call now (please) or forever hold your peace.

I do have a couple of weekdays open the week of April 4, and Capt. Ben Hayes has some March dates still open. Capt. Hayes is our largemouth bass specialist, but he loves to chase down some crappie as well when the bite is hot.

Give us a call, soon.

emoThumbsup That was a workout catching fish! Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.

I don't think I've ever known the crappie fishing to get this good, this early. Forgive my French, but we are "balls to the wall."

Saturday and Sunday my clients put 128 keeper crappie in the boat (culled to 7 limits, 105 fish). On Saturday me and Jim Thomison actually left biting fish just to go explore new water.

Here's another video I shot on Sunday: https://youtu.be/ZTNuVBVzZBI

But, now the bad news (although not for me). Forget my previous "blatant commercial." I am now booked solid for the rest of the month. However, I have partners with open dates, so feel free to keep calling! I really appreciate the great support I get from CFF!

I need to give a "shout out" to some sponsors who really help me out with the right lures: TTI Blakemore keeps me well-stocked with Road Runners and Slab Daddy lures (I love them shooting docks, BTW). You will NEVER find my boat without a supply of Crappie Magnets (made by www.TroutMagnet.com). I also love their SOS line. If you want line you, or the fish CANNOT see, it's the stuff! I also caught a lot of fish this weekend on Big Doc's Bugs, made by Mike Lowrey over in Marion County. See: http://on.fb.me/1RP0xzd
