Crappie on the Chick 11/10/2006

I started about noon and fished until almost 4pm. Had to fight the leaves but managed to boat 10 crappie, 7 being keeper size along with a few small bluegills too. It was hard not to fish for bass with all the minnow action going on but I hung in there. Found most of the fish in deep water under docks using 1 and 1.5 inch tubes, seems like the white was best but used chartruse/red combo also. Water temp 59-60 and fish were from 6 to 10 ft deep. What a beautiful day for November.

I had a similar experience on the 10th. The flow at the dock that I was fishing was dead and the fish were much slower than they have been but we caught 11 nice keepers in about an hour. I'm still stuck on the bass/crappie assassins. I took one of our new members bdoc64. He learned how to shoot docks and seemed to have a good time. We'll catch more next time I guarantee it bdoc.
