I decided to try a little crappie fishing this morning since I have not been in a while. I had hoped since it did not look like they bit this weekend they might be active this morning. Got out about 8:15 at the wolf and tried out in front of the bridge and under the bridge. Not a bump or hit at all.:( There were two guys fishing on the bank under the bridge and they had not caught any as well. I decided to go up the wolf and see if I could find anything. I finally found a little activety in about 11 feet just off the creek but it wasn't much. I caught three crappie of which two were keepers, one big bream, a bass and two shad all on red/chartruse tubes.emoRolleyes Not much to show for a morning of fishing. I left at 1:00.emoTongue Jmax

If JMax can't catch 'em, I feel better. Was/were the bait/seagulls still loaded up around the first Wolftever Bend?

Those gulls were going nuts all of Saturday and Sunday ... I can't imagine sitting there and not being able to catch fish!

Can't wait to see what they are doing tonight when I head home.

Yes the gulls were still everywhere and there was several places I kept snagging shad trying to fish under them.emoDoh I saw another place where there must have been a million little minnows about the size of crappie minnows holding tight along a bluff. That is where I fianlly caught my first keeper crappie was under them. I am use to seeing the large schools of shad but I cannot remember seeing a large school of crappie minnows like that before.emoScratch Jmax
