Went today in the Harrison bay state park area, fishing off the rock. I went at the typical wrong time. I got on the water around 11 AM. Fishing with Minnows under a float 12 - 18" deep. Water was 3' to 5' foot deep. Fishing a rock bank, I started off catching 2 that barely made the 10" limit. Started catching some small Largemouth Bass. and it seemed that every time I moved down the bank a bit, I'd catch 2 crappie then the bluegill would move in. This went on till about 3:45 and I had bagged about 6 crappie but had caught ariund 20 fish . Then a miraculous thing happened. I went to a point about 15 feet up the bank and struck gold. In the next hour and 15 monutes I had a total of 20 keepers, 6 of which I'd call slabs. I ran out of minnows and was using a green jig for about half of those. sorry no pictures, but it was a new place and I didn't know it would catch fire. I left at 5 with them still biting and would have bagged my limit easy.
