Gator called me around noon and wanted to know if I wanted to go Crappie fishing with him this afternoon. It didn't take me long to decide. We saw Jmax at the ramp as we were getting ready to launch. He said that the crappie that he caught yesterday were "Gone with the Wind". He was right. It was too windy for us to stay on the creek edge so I took Gator to the bluff. We caught enough for Mrs Gator and him to have a fish dinner. A couple of bluegills and 1 yellow bass completed the day. 5 Crappie keepers with a couple of throwbacks and they were caught on tubes in various colors. It seemed like every time that we changed color, we caught another fish.
