Crappie Tournament 58 Bridge Boat Ramp

There is a crappie tournament on March 7th, 2009. Everyone is welcome. Hours are from 730am - 230pm. 15 fish limit. $45 a boat. 3 people per boat max. Any question, feel free to contact me, Matt Jenkins @ 303-0227 or Terry Wyatt @ 593-4330. Hope to see some of you guys there.

We had a decent turnout for a nice day on the water. Jeremy Henderson and his trolling pattern was good for first place. They had 14lbs and change. They also had big fish. It weighed 1.58lbs. They took home $235. Second place was 12.10lbs. It paid $80. My boat came in a close 3rd with 12.01lbs. We had a great time and thought we might have another in two weeks on a sunday if we could get at least 10 or so boats.

We caught our fish deeper than expected. The majority of our fish came from 10-12 ft of water close to or in brush. Minnows and B Garland Tiny Shad in various colors worked best for us today. We fished up river above B&B Marina.

Thanks for the report Matt!
I thought about fishing it Friday night but found out it was at 58 bridge not Wolftever. I don't have a clue about that area up there. However I bet it has less traffic than down below Soddy. I was out Friday and will put up a report later but from below Soddy down to Sequoyah it was as crowded as interstate 75 in Atlanta at 5 o'clock.
