I've been wanting to post this since last week but we just got the pics. My son, Brent & his bud, William Giles from the UTC Mocs football team got a break from spring practice right before the cold snap & got out to do some bass fishin'. William had just caught a 4-12 LM which was his biggest ever. Anticiation was in the air when he threw a lizard next to a stump in about 2' of water. When his line moved off he set the hook & it was on! With 8# mono & spinning rod, he couldn't contol the brute, but after chasing it around for about 15 min., Brent lipped the 44-10 blue cat. They didn't have a net & the one that 2 nice guys fishing near them brought over was too little to get this cat into. When you look at these fish, they may look a little small cause the guys holding them are pretty big dudes. Giles is a 6-4, 300# off. lineman & Brent is a 6-2, 270# fullback/ tight end. Anyway, DHaun, I thought you may want to consider this cat [even tho it was a fluke catch] for the HOF since they landed it on 8# test!

Brave man sticking your hand in that cat's mouth like that. It only takes one time to loose some skin and you wont be doing that again!

8lb test...way to go! Nice bass too!</p>

He might lose some skin, but it would be totallllllly worth it!

Excellent job. Hmmmm... that tells me that we should fish shallow shoals for catfish this weekend!

That's some fun fishing itsn't it TR? Wow, a 44lber on 8lb line, that's a great catch. It takes skill to get one like that in on that light line. Congrats guys.

It is hard to do but if you don't jerk back when they clamp down the skin will stay on.
