Just FYI... I've had a few people tell me I would like a scope on my crossbow better than the red dot (including my buddy who works for Horton). So indeed, I took the red dot off and put a scope on (Horton Mult-A-Range 4x32).
I LOVE it! I can't explain why, but it really does seem to shoot more precisely than the red dot did. I sighted in (on a bench rest) at 20... then just scooted back to 30 and 40 respectively. The Horton Mult-A-Range scope has the "pre-sighted range lines" and they were dead on. After sighting in at 20, the 30 yard line was perfect. The 40-yard shot a inch or two high... however I didn't actually "measure off" 40 yards... I was just "pacing" 40 yards so my distance could have easily been off some. Regardless, at all three distances I was dropping arrows consistently in a 3-inch black bullseye. I'll definitely be sticking with the scope.

Thanks for the words. I have a Ten Point Pro Elite with the Ten Point Three red dot scope. I tried to shoot 20, 30 and 40yds and found that I am shooting a little flat at the longer yardages. I resighted in the top dot at 25yds and I now am zeroed in at 25, 35 and 45yds.

I have considered the cross hairs, but the draw back to me is the fact that I can adjust the intensity of the light in my scope so as to give me better vision in low light conditions. The crosshairs disapear at low light through my eyes whereas the lighted dots stay in vision.
