I read some very mixed reviews about the curado 70 but really liked the way it palmed when I felt of it at the store. I ended up picking a couple up and absolutely love them. I was just curious as to what anyone else felt about them. The only drawback for me is the spool capacity but many styles don't requires large amount of line. Let me know what you guys think.

They are awesome little reels. I have one and I love it. I am going to replace a few older curados with them. I've got it spooled with 15# yozuri hybrid and throw traps and squarebills on it. I can almost spool it on a long cast, but that doesn't really bother me since it is straight hybrid, and no backing.

I like the reel and the size just wished it had a little deeper spool but I have always been pro Shimano. I moved it to my flipping rod and its been very solid. Still like the aldebaran or metanium better but for the money, its an awesome reel.

I wouldn't replace the 200i. If you like the 200i, I might add to the collection with one when you are ready. Very similar feel but better size in the hand on the 70 IMHO.

If it is a smaller version of the 200I I'd give it a thumbs up for the right application. I have about a dozen of the 200's and other than one that has a spool release issue they have been rock solid.
