.25 Gibbs is the caliber. I seem to remember that there are/were safari guns for African big game chambered for big-caliber (.505?) Gibbs - but I don't count on my memory much anymore.............Can anyone verify?????
Your memory must still be holding up. They make a 505, 240, 25, and a 30 gibbs that I know of. They kind of specialized in wildcat calibers. There are a ton of others who did the same things.
