Dam flow rate effects?

I know that large releases from dams generaly mean a better bite below them, but my question is with the heavy currents expected tomorrow what specific patterns should you look for on the river fishing for bass. I have read that bass will hold on the down current side behind cover or structure. Do you find this true or any more patterns to look for?

like FA said look for eddies the fish lay there and wait for food to come to them
