A buddy was fishing on the Chick late last summer, and his buddy (Danny) caught this brute on the DD-22 shown in the pic. I bet that was one hellacious fight! I understand Danny is 6'3". I wish the tail was extended, but as you can see its curved up some.  Whats your guess?

wow... what a cat.  Danny is 75" tall, and I'd say that fish is at LEAST 58-60" long.  Hmmm...75-85 lbs?  Maybe bigger?

When he told me about it, he said it was between 80-100, I said, "yea right"....I am thinking it could easily be 80# after seeing teh pic. Just MHO...

I would say that there is a good chance that the blue is 80-100. It's a good sized fish, that's for sure. I'm glad that the dd22 came back in one piece.

I bet at least 80, probably closer to 90 lbs. Makes you think about how we fish for cats in the middle of summer. Imagine that fish in the winter at its fattest!

Thanks for posting that one, cool!

Let's see, for ME to hold it one handed, it couldn't be over 12 pounds! LOL!!! Great fish! Remind me not to upset Danny or he'll hold ME up like that.emoEek emoEek I can't begin to guess how big without actually seeing it in person or having a length, and even then........... WOW!

Probably not good for the fish, but I think his other hand is under the dorsal fin? Hard to make it out. Monster though....I WANT ONE!!!!

good lord what a fish.
ill say def. over 70 (being conservative.
its easy to cheat by holding the fish out to make it look bigger, but this guy isn't (i don't think he could if he wanted to!)
