If there was ever a way to not catch fish we found it. We were kinda flying by the seat of our pants Friday cause I have not had much time to fish the last 2 weeks and only managed to find one area Thursday evening that was holding fish but of course they were gone by Friday nite. Anyway we started on rip rap that had wind and current washing it and caught our first fish on the second cast but only went 14 7/8 on the board. Tried like crazy to get his tail to touch but he just didn't measure. Things didn't get any better from there. We went out deep to a couple of places I know usually hold fish this time of year and they were barren so we ended up throwing SB's and CB's over and through submerged grass just trying to find anything active to fill a limit but that only produced more slicks. My dad finally put our one and only keeper in the boat about 1245. As he pulled the fish out of the net I got a look at its head and went ok that's a 3-4 lber but when it turned it to pop the hook the fish was barely a half inch across the back. That had to be one of the skinniest fish I've ever seen and fell right in with how our night went. Congrats to the winners and Big fish. Several toads were brought to the scales. Well done all.
