I was wondering how the day bite has been? Coming down next weekend to visit some family in Decatur and was thinking about bringing my boat. Just didn't want to pull it 3 hours if nothing was going on. I usually fish this lake in the Fall and Spring, but never this time of year.

3 hours pull or not, I would take the opportunity to fish this lake. You never know when you are going to get your arm broke. I personally have found it a little slow during the day. I’m catching a lot of short fish and nothing to brag about. However, I'm just out there once a week or so. Hopefully some of the big guys will speak up for you.

Not catching a lot of huge fish, but the afternoon bite is much better for me right now. Lots of big schools are feeding in the evenings.

Yea I would second heath423 cause it's worth the pull and like everyone else is saying I think first thing in the morning is better and late in the evening just as every lake is this time of year when it's so hot fish docs and ledges the big ones Our either deep Our under something where cooler water is not that I've had any luck myself but did have decent day last week doing that so good luck and stay safe and also I found out I have better luck when their isn't so many pleasure boats on the lake so I would say if you could fish durning the week you are better off
