Day Two. Second Buck

Saturday i shot a ten. today I saw a bunch of deer come in and bed in front of my stand. I could only getglimpsesof Bodies. I am set up so as to not disturb the bedding area. I did several videos of an Eight point chasing two does and six point following behind. Beautifulsight in Nature. I had a good Eight walk in alone, i studied long and hard as to pull the trigger. See for yourself. I would shoot it late season and I thought, Why not get it while I still can. So "Twang"</p>

What a bad situation ??? I shot the 10 point on the first day of the season then this 8 point on the second day. I am feeling that if I go I will see the Bigger deer that I saw on the Friday just before opening Gun season.. Too far for the smoke pole. I have just one more tag.. If I shoot I am done. So if I do not shoot, Why go? If I do not go at all until late season. The biggest one may be gone.. ....... I am going hunting. Sigh...

Do you hunt on public land? That is a nice buck, nice pics!

I am only accustomed to hunting on private ranches where the owner was gracious enough let me hunt (in Texas).

Would you recommend buying a deer lease or just taking your chances and hunting on public land?

I hunt the free Hunting Private Land here in TN. I say I am very lucky to have good friends... As far as Public Hunting property ... The only thing in this area is the segments along the Banks of TN River belonging to TVA. You can acquire maps that show the areas at the TVA map store.. The other thing would be to hunt WMAs where the area is open same as state-wide.. I try to hit a few where it is Bonus Bucks.. If Not for Bonus Deer I would be Tagged out.
