Great article Richard ! I'm pumped up to find out what the "secret " tournamanet is. Bass Masters classic ??? That would be awesome ! It's a shame Chattanooga won't step up a little more to support these tournaments. Weigh ins at the round house would be great !

WOW!!! Andy is worrying about all the fishing pressure because Chickamauga "ISN'T THAT BIG". Maybe he should try to fish Nickajack with the All-Americans all over it!! A MADHOUSE!!! Thanks Dayton!

I hope they get more hotels. Thats all I ever heard form fellow competitors was there are not many places stay close to the launches out of Chester Frost or Dayton. Would love to have more major tournaments close to home.

Maybe it is the big bass splash like they use to have here. That would be nice. I remember fishing those when I was a kid with my uncle.

Stay off the lake Wes. Those pros are out there looking for locals to waypoint. David Fritts pinged me during the June CBA, fortunately, I was fishing one of Jmax's hole....lol

Way to go Dayton. Let the city that wants it more have it.

Well said churly. I don't think the city of Chattanooga knows what they're missing out on. These high scale / high profile tournaments bring HUGE revenue to all the surrounding towns. Just look at what Scottsboro has become. All the hotels have outlets in the parking lot to accomodate battery charging and they strongly promote bass fishing down there.

You are point on Hook1! Hamilton County and the City of Chattanooga has been very blind, deaf and just plain stupid in dealing with the FLW Tx's. these past three years. Maybe a new City and County Mayor will take notice. Wonder why going down Hwy 72 toward the Gunty there are so many motels? The fisherman come in 24/7/365 to fish for Crappie and Bass! There is no other reason. There are no other attractions. Our City and County officials have just flat out missed the boat on this. Now if it was a row boat contest, a softball Tx. a tennis Tx. a golf Tx. an "Iron Man" / marathon running event, a bicycling event or a cheerleading event they would be all over it! Shut down the river and redirect traffic. TV, radio and news print would be having organisms! But sadly, not much appreciation for a lowly fishing Tx! Maybe in the near future they will wake up.

That's why wanted to know Justin that way I can just sit on everybody else's stuff from Sunday on. Lol! I got binged on that day also.

Hey boys i'll go out there and fish some of my spots. Them suckers will finish dead last if they sneak into them holes! lol

Do you Chick anglers really want this for your lake?
To quote the Eagles-"Call some place paradise-kiss it good-bye!"

I agree with this I love the big tournament action and all that it brings. Just really don't want this lake to end up like Guntersville, where you catch a small fish and suddenly there are a hundred boats trying to push you off that spot.

Dear Chickamaugians,

Please continue to promote for tournaments. Please take EVERY tournament you can. I hope BASS and FLW never leave Chickamauga.

Signed,
A Guntersville Guy
