Went out yesterday saw a ton of birds diving however didn't mark many bait fish at all, got to looking and there were baby bluegills floating dead or about to die all over, anyone else see that our know why or what could cause that??

That doesn't sound good. I'd say the fish were dying when the gulls found them. Doubt the gulls are the cause

Yeah TN bullet hasn't a clue I watched him try to catch em with a net so he could say he caught something.
He said singing like they'd be good on the green egg and a cracker LMAO!!!

good to see you on the lake . I remember catching some largish stripers about 4 years ago that threw up bluegill fry all over the floor when you landed one. same time of year. so maybe a natural thing ??

Hey Norman same here I believe you were out there that same day when I caught my PB largemouth too. Did you get anymore today??

It might be as simple as the water temps dipping down pretty quick and the little ones getting caught too shallow . But I don't believe this is anything we need to worry about at this point. Now if we start seeing other species dying in numbers I would be alarmed .

I remember that day very well, fun times and good fish. After you all left I lost the fish that were working so I made a quick run to Harrison where some gulls were working, but I picked up nothing and headed for home. I am still trying to relearn most of what I knew about fishing. Just thankful God allowed me to have another chance to get out on the lake a little. And Judie encouraged me to get another boat.
