How do you guys deal with 10+ MPH wind while fishing? It doesn't bother me when throwing crank baits but trying to bottom fish, ie, a jig, worm or any other bait that stays on or near the bottom is very frustrating to me due to the constant bow(side ways) in my line. I won't see my line jump or feel the tap when a fish grabs the bait. Unless the fish try's to swim off with the bait, I never know I even got bit.

Thanks,
Bill

Fish places where the wind is blowing directly at the bank instead of sideways down the bank. That's the only way I am able to feel a worm or jig in that much wind. That or just swim the lures

Fish the wind blown banks. I have caught some of my best fish on banks with the wind blowing straight in on it. I love to throw lipless crankbaits or spinnerbaits on it. Not my favorite lures but I am telling what I do to catch fish in windy conditions. I will throw soft plastics at structure on these banks but I usually find the active fish are running the banks feeding on bait fish. I have caught fish in Jan. and Feb. in less than 5' of water with waves crashing on the banks. I once caught a fish over 8 lbs. in less than two feet of water and it was so cold it was snowing. The bass will go were the bait are. Good luck and hope this helps.
