I was very surprised by the way the debate went. Governor Romney did a much better job than President Obama overall and impressed me with his knowledge and tact. I expected President Obama to come over with a clear advantage from having a 4-year working knowledge of the Federal government, but it didn't happen at all. Governor Romney came across in a very professional, knowledgeable, and executive manner. I was also a bit surprised at how unhappy the President looked and how often the President took "shots" at the Governor (with apparently questionable "facts") rather than answer questions or explain his stand.

This is not intended to spark another debate, just to express my surprise at the impressions I was left with by both candidates. Not what I expected at all.

Agree 100%. I liked Romney, but he seems to have a slight bit of Bidens-disease an inserts foot into the cranial port on occasion.

That is the very same debate I saw...
I feel the 47% did not come up for a very good reason... That would have given a public audience where Romney could explain the facts that justified his statement. The Liberals want things like that statement to seem much worse than it was without explanation. Being misunderstood by the very 47% already conceded to Obama will keep that vote Democrat... The point is Moot and a total waste of time.
I was not surprised that Qbama did not elaborate on his accomplishments for the past Four years as President. Obviously he has nothing to brag about.

I unfortunately was so excited about the debates that I fell asleep on my chair half way through it. emoRolleyes I really feel the biggest problem is the class war fair fog that the Obama people have been able to over shadow everyone with is easier for a lot of people to accept then the actual truth. Many folk no matter what is said believe that the Romney ticket it a white class ticket that is set on taking advantage of the little guy and that no matter what he or his folks say it will not change their out look. No matter who wins, when this Obama care package comes crashing down on everyone's head, when taxes go up to pay for all this recovery that has already been spent, when folks go to the doctor to get help to find out they are not covered for that or the deductible has not been met then the reality of what has actually been done will sink in. I have said since this Obama care first came into being that the insurance you get off of it will be worthless and I am still saying that. The coverage will be very little, the deductible will be high and those who have it will not be able to afford to use it. It will sound great but try to use it and you will see. Just because you have coverage does not mean you can use that coverage. Then the committee that over sees the use will determine if what you want done is covered. Many items will not be, if you need some kind of surgery it will be denied. What you will get is some kind of pain management referral. Keep in mind, that will only be covered once you reach your deductible. A lot of the people who will have this will not have the money to pay their deductible. The bad part about this is it is already happening. Many providers like Blue Cross and Blue Shield are already setting up the ground work for this very program. The catch word they use is called, "Medical Necessity", then they say it is not medically necessary to have the surgery done. emoMad Then they refer you to pain management, the outcome there is you will become a junky on pain pills for the rest of your life if you can afford you part of the deductible and co-pay each year.

This same kind of information is often ignored by those who are less educated or less aware of how it works. They just see, "Oh great, I can get affordable insurance coverage!", "GO OBAMA!"....try to use it once you have it. The part I saw yesterday was Obama doing his normal made up numbers and information while Romany called him out of some of it there was a lot that was let slide. That is also the problem, many people will believe those numbers and information not ever knowing or even wanting to know if it is actually true or not.

I did like it when Obama told them he had a plan to cut the deficit over the next four years and Romney called him out on the carpet and mentioned how he had said that same thing four years ago and had increased it almost as much as the previous president all together had done. Romney was saying you said that then and here you are again saying that same thing but have in place to increase it much further if it is not changed. He pretty much called Obama a liar with that one.

I hope Romney does win this year, if he does not then at least after the next four years I can go back to all those Obama pushers and say, "I told you so." emoTskTsk Jmax
