Decal and pin stripe removal

I use a heat gun and strip what will come off. If you do it on a hot day and that tape is warm it will get most of the glue off with it. Wal-mart sells in their pain dept a product called extreme goo gone and it works good. Take a soft cloth and spray a short section and rub real good and it will come off.
If you want to buff the hull down before reapplying some more then use the 3m rubbing compound

If you use the heat gun you will be amazed at how hot that old thin decal will be when you grab it. Careful !emoSmile

Thanks for that heads up. I have done it so many times I fail to remember that most folks don't know that ol tape can carry some heat. I must be coming down with old timers. emoGeezer

When you get the sticker off, you can get the goo and smudges off with Fast Orange hand cleaner on a damp sponge. I use that stuff on my bright white boat and it will not dull the surface finish.

I sell a rubber wheel that is made just for taking off striping. Their pretty cheap , Be glad to hook you up------------AL

Now is a fine time for me to be finding this out. After I spent the better part of a week and ten tons of elbow grease to remove all them from my toon. emoScratch
