Deep Cycle Batteries

Chattanooga Fishing Forum

Help Support Chattanooga Fishing Forum:

Exide batteries from Academy have been holding up in my boat so far. Cranking and trolling were $80-90 each when I bought mine awhile back.

TROJAN if you can find em.

I usually go with Wally World. They seem to last as well as any and have a decent warranty

Thanks to everyone who made suggestions. I finally went to WalMart and bought a big battery.
They didn't have any marine batteries so I guess it's a cranking battery but it has a 5 yr. warranty
so we'll see how it holds up. I have run these before and they worked OK. We'll see what happens.
Thanks again CFF'ers!

Hey Hal I just read this and I'm not sure if you want to do that. You need a deep cycle marine battery for the trolling motors. Either the ever start max marine or the other. I would take it and switch it when they get the marine batteries in or go to a awl mart that has them. There are a lot of older threads that talk about this. Just trying to look out for you!</p>
