Didn't get back from hunting until after 2:00AM last night. Stopped at a friend's deer camp where they had afreshkilled doe leg ready to eat. They had covered it in Everglade spice and split it open for more even cooking. It stayed in the smoker six-seven hours. "Perfect"!!! Quartered potatoes baked in tin foil. Barbecuesauce over chunks ofPineapple, Baked beans.

We had a huge visitor after midnight who came to camp for the leftovers. She showed upFridaynight as well and took it on herself to clean up the campsite. She leftFridaywith a bloodcurdlingscream. Last night she stayed about twenty yards out from the edge of the lighted area. Thecarcassfrom doe was left for her and her family away from camp but she chose to come for the leftovers. She is a big mountain lion who has three cubs tagging along. I sure hope that no one chooses to shoot her. Not bothering anyone other than the screams at 3:00 AM.
